Caught in the Net: Patterns and Predictors of Fraud Incidence in Ireland

A broadly nationally representative survey of 2,945 adults mapping consumer fraud journeys: who is targeted, who loses money, and what follows in reporting and recovery. Risky online behaviour is the single strongest predictor of fraud experience, while fraud-specific literacy — not general financial literacy — lowers it.
